Mooring Arrangement Retrofit project

As of 1^st of February 2021 all Capesize vessels calling Port Hedland, Australia should comply with the new requirements – to have one set of bitts and Panama lead/roller fairleads on the vessel’s aft deck at or near the centerline to be rated to a minimum of 120T safe working load (SWL).

According to that, we did a Mooring Arrangements Retrofit on two sister vessels Bulk Carriers. Part of our scope of work included:

• Update of the Mooring Arrangement Equipment Plan;
• Update of the General Arrangement Plan
• FEM Report of reinforcement related to all modification work and Class approval;
• Reinforcement under mooring fittings drawings including a summary of the new reinforcement and modification of the existing
• Local strength Calculation Report for newly added/replaced mooring winches and additional mooring equipment foundations and related hull support

We completed the project with the help of Rhino, Ansys, and AutoCAD
